Song Of Memory

“Song of Memory" is the outcome of my leadership in an online team participating in a two-week game jam. My responsibilities in the project included programming (Breeze), coordinating communication among team members, and contributing to a small portion of the game design.

This game jam was a remarkable challenge, limited to just two weeks, with all members balancing their day jobs and only managing to work on the project during spare evening hours and weekends. Furthermore, it was our initial collaboration, with no previous acquaintance among each other.

Disagreements were unavoidable, especially between me and the game designer on aspects of game tutorials and the storyline. However, given the tight development schedule, we all agreed to compromise our differences to advance the project. The character artist proposed story elements, the game designer devised puzzle-based gameplay, the environment artist introduced some puzzles, and I refined the performance and control mechanics. Ultimately, leveraging the professional expertise and efficient division of work among team members, we successfully completed the development within the designated timeframe.
